Ron & Lori’s wedding was a love story a long time in the works. They hired us from their home in Ohio to plan a blush and sea glass colored, family centered weekend to celebrate the blending of their 2 families … Continue reading
Krista & Tom are an adorable true love story. They wanted a bright, outdoor spring wedding and Ybor City Museum Garden was the perfect venue for them! It was an intimate, family oriented affair, with the couple’s daughter, Tom & Krista’s sisters and their dog all involved in the wedding party! A long time friend officiated, friend and wedding photographer Robert Shank was on hand to capture all the moments, and Lou from Jennie’s Florist (who has known Krista for years!) brought everything to life with bright yellows and the sunflowers that Krista loves!
Olympia Catering brought some of the most delicious food ever tasted, Tampa Lights lit up the night, Fiesta Party Rentals brought everything we needed and Housewife Bakery brought an adorable yellow cake!
This wedding was so much and so bright! Even though late April in Tampa gets very humid, everyone partied hard and had a fantastic time dancing the night away!

Meghann and Tadd are one of the sweetest couples you can imagine. They came to us in January and really wanted an end of June wedding. Meghann is getting her master’s and just did not have time to deal with all that is involved in wedding planning, and we were happy to help! They wanted a smaller, rustic wedding that reflected both their tastes and love for each other. It ended up being one of the most fun events ever!
Meghann’s grandparents got married on the same date, so Meghann and Tadd set up an honorary area for them, complete with their marriage certificate!
Meghann and Tadd met when she was out with some girlfriends, and fell down the stairs. Tadd happened to be standing at the bottom, and got her a napkin and sat down with her. They talked and became friends, and then realized they shared the same values, and Tadd asked her to be his girlfriend. The rest is history!!
We picked the Manatee Riverhouse for the venue, with all its exposed wood, river views and rustic charm. Jill & Joe from Jillian Joseph Photography were on hand to capture the day, and KyleLynn did the hair and make up! Craig from Black Tie DJs had the best playlist going, and we all had a fantastic time!! The bride’s stepmom made the centerpieces herself. and they fit perfectly with the space and the feel that Meghann and Tadd wanted to have!
Lauren from I Do Ceremonies performed a touching ceremony, perfectly customized to Tadd & Meghann. After Jill captured a few stunning sunset photos, the dancing began! Eat drink and be married is one of our favorite sayings, and it perfectly captures this wedding!!
After some minor issues with the dresses, which Southern Elegance Events was more than happy to help correct, the party got under way!
The pie bar with pies from Yoder’s in Sarasota was a HUGE hit, and there was enough for the vendors to enjoy as well, and believe me, enjoy we did!
As the night wound down, Meghann and Tadd made their grand exit down the dock of the Riverhouse, complete with sparkler send off! Guests were raving about how much fun they had, and how they did not want the night to end!

May is a gorgeous and very warm time of year here in Florida, but it was perfect for a beach wedding on Lido Key!! Cassie is a long time friend of our team, and when she and Patrick got engaged, her mom called to make sure we would be on hand for the big day! Cassie’s mom is an interior designer and has a lot of great ideas, and we had a lot of fun working with them! and look how gorgeous this bride is:
Cassie and Patrick are soo laid back and fun, they just wanted a colorful day and a good time and they got it!! With the aquas and pink color palette, lots of flowers and fabulous decor, it was a feast for the eyes. Cassie’s mom worked closely with The Paper Zoo to create a gorgeous suite of menus, invites and place cards.
Beneva Flowers is one of our long time favorites, and they provided some of the brightest flowers we’ve seen at weddings! Along with family friend Betsy, the ceremony and reception flowers came together perfectly!
Cakes by Ron provided a delicious and beautiful cake (which really did taste as good as it looked!) and Cassie came up with cute signs and bubbles to make the ceremony even more personal!!

At the end of March we were lucky enough to work with an adorable young couple, Allison and Billy who had a rustic country wedding in Winter Park. Allison had spent months making and collecting items she wanted to use, and we had a great time putting it all together and making her vision come to life. They had chosen the Mead Gardens amphitheater for the ceremony, and the Winter Park Farmer’s Market for cocktail hour and reception. Both venues were gorgeous, but the Farmer’s Market is to die for!
They said I do surrounded by trees and flowers in the Gardens, and in March it was as pretty as can be. So lush and natural, and a perfect backdrop for the ceremony.
Then the guests moved over to the Farmer’s Market for custom cocktails, flowing beer and yard games!! Billy had made custom cornhole boards for the guests to use, and 4Rivers Smokehouse kept everyone fed during the mingling and the dancing later!
Seriously, Allison had the best ideas and the cutest stuff. With the birdcages and flowers and candles, as well as all the personalization she came up with, it was a memorable wedding and a great time for the guests!
Billy & Allison are SO in love and it was clean the entire day. At the end of the night, their fun personalities came out with the sparkler exit! We lined everyone up at the exit of the Farmer’s Market and sent them on their way with a bang!

Cat & Shawn are a fun, bright couple and their wedding was fun and bright to go with them! Their families are hands on, and they are constantly surrounded by love and that’s what their day reflected.
They are two lovebirds from the University of Florida. They wanted a vibrantly colored and laid back wedding on Clearwater Beach this February, and that’s exactly what they got! Surrounded by friends and family, with smiles on their faces, they wed and the party went on into the night! The Bride’s mom and sisters worked on the flowers and did a great job!
They also had homemade cupcakes for their cake, as well as a cookie bar with cookies from their family members for the guests to take home!
The bar was hopping with Pablo, the Barfather performing all sorts of tricks. Trisha from trisha e. photography captured every minute, and everyone had a great time!
It was a fabulous wedding and yet again, we can’t do it justice, so just enjoy the photos!

Beth & John are both lawyers and celebrated their nuptials in golden style. The August wedding was entirely indoors, which was perfect due to the heat and rain. It was just as gorgeous as you could ask for, with a ceremony at Sacred Heart Church and reception at the Hilton Tampa Downtown. Beth was radiant in a backless gown, flanked by some of the prettiest bridesmaids we’ve ever seen. John and his guys looked fantastic as well.
Beth and John are a real life Barbie and Ken, and you could see it in every smile of the day.
John traveled to Japan for work, and when Beth came to visit him, he proposed. They honored this important part of their relationship at their guest book table, with custom made Japanese dolls, and a guest sign in that comes from Japanese wishing traditions. Guest wrote their well wishes and names on the tablets and hung them on the family built wall.
Seriously, there are few words to describe how fabulous this wedding was. Richard Harrell Photography captured the day in perfect detail so we’ll let the photos tell the story.

We were contacted last summer by Michele. She was coming down from Maryland and had in mind a small, laid back wedding on the beach in St.Pete and needed someone to help set it up and keep it running smoothly. We were more than happy to take on the task! She reserved the outside pavilion at Rum Runners at the Sirata Beach Resort, with food and bar provided by them, and a decadent dessert bar from Dancing Cats Cafe.
The pavilion is open air and overlooks the beach, and at night when its quiet you can hear the waves crashing onto the shore. It was the perfect backdrop for the intimate reception for 40 guests, and October 17th could not have been a more beautiful afternoon for a wedding!
Michele had made all the décor by hand, and her parents drove it down from Maryland! Once we set it all up, it took our breath away and brightened the space up even further! Then Dancing Cats arrived with all their amazing desserts for the dessert bar, and this wedding hit another level!
Custom chocolate covered oreos, caramel covered pretzel rods, cupcakes, pie pops, cake pops and lemon squares had all the guests cruising on a sugar high, and we can attest personally that they were all delicious!! The dessert bar was definitely the highlight of the evening for the guests and the bride and groom. There were even enough for everyone to take a goody bag home at the end of the night :)
This wedding was the epitome of laid back and relaxed, and was so much fun to help with!
Adam & Jenn were a super sweet, and super busy couple who came to us in need of help. We were more than happy to oblige the sweet couple and help plan their laid back beach wedding. They chose May 2nd as their date, and The Sandbar on Anna Maria Island as their venue for both ceremony and reception.
The Sandbar is a gorgeous venue that offers a sandy toes beach ceremony, with a covered (but still sandy toes) reception near by. The delicious seafood and delectable drink offerings were just what Adam and Jenn wanted, and Kristen from aka photographs was on hand to capture the entire day on film!
Jenn wore a gorgeous dress from Something Blue Bridal, and even though a May rain storm forced their ceremony off of the beach and under the pavilion, the bright colors and the steel drum still made the event sunny and bright.
Minimal flowers were needed because of the gorgeous scenery, and a beachy cake from Publix hit the spot for all of those with a sweet tooth. Black Tie DJs kept the party going, as they always do, and everyone on hand had a terrific time on the beach that night.
