Labor Day/Americana wedding ideas (originally posted 9/3/2012)

While fiddling around for Labor Day this weekend, we started thinking about fun ways to tie the American spirit into a wedding, party or shower.  So we started brainstorming and hunting the internet for fun but classy ways to tie in the red, white and blue spirit of our nation into your events, and we found some really cute things.

First up we found this super cute drink ba00r from Paiges of Style on Etsy.  It’s her printable airplane party set, but it would work for a BBQ, wedding or shower. It’s classy and fun!

These invites/placecards we found on Pinterest from La Peperterie Divia, and they are so retro:

We are also obsessed with this mood board we found on a blog via Pinterest.

The navy dresses, retro coke bottles and vintage cars are all completely Americana and so appropriate for a Fourth of July, Memorial Day or Labor Day wedding!

Another mood board from http://burnettsboards.com/2012/07/july-4th-wedding/.  Pie pops?? We’re dying over here.  That’s such an inventive idea, one of the best we’ve seen in a long time.

Southern Elegance Events hopes someday we get to throw a wedding with an Americana theme, but until then we’ll have to be content with the crawfish boil that’ll be happening at the beginning of the year.  We have a lot of other ideas saved to share with you all later. and we hope you’ve enjoyed your 3 day weekend!!  We’re offering some specials for wedding before the end of the year, so if you need last minute help, give Southern Elegance Events a call!!!
