So it’s been over a month since their gorgeous beachside wedding, but we wanted to get all the photos from the fabulous Jose Velez Photography before we put this up.
Jared and Jen came to us last summer, wanting an intimate beachside wedding but having no idea where to start. We had worked with the fantastic Beach House Restaurant on Bradenton Beach before and thought it would be perfect. Turns out, it was!!
The Beachhouse offers two different ceremony and receptions locations, depending on the amount of guests, and both are amazing. Jared and Jen had a guest list of only 40 people, so we chose the smaller north pavilion for their December nuptials.
They wanted simple, beachy decor with bright purples to reflect Jen’s favorite color and we along with Ellie for the flowers put together something simple but vibrant for all 8 tables.
Jared has 3 daughters and Jen has many nieces and nephews, so they came up with special favors and fun games for the kids place settings, which mixed in nicely with the rest of the decorations.
The ceremony started promptly at 4:30, and was breathtaking with the Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop.
The ceremony ended at the perfect time for photos, as well as a gorgeous sunset view for all the guests during cocktail hour.
The Beachhouse is a full service restaurant and took care of all the food and bar necessities, even customizing the menu to reflect the no seafood request of many of the guests. The food was all delicious, and the service at the Beach house is above reproach.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Jared and Jen opted to go with 5 different decadent cakes from Publix. Not only was it a deviation from the norm, but the cakes were gorgeous and oh so tasty!
DJ Kelly from Spin Master DJs kept the music coming, providing a perfect backdrop for all the conversing and family time that was going on. Jared and Jen shared a tear jerking first dance to Wanted by Hunter Hayes, and one of Jared’s young daughters even caught the bouquet!
By the time the event wrapped up around 9, Jared and Jen were ready to head down the street for their honeymoon on the beach, and all the guests were tired and satisfied and raving about the event.
Jared and Jen are a fantastic couple, and we are so happy that they chose Southern Elegance Events to put on their special day, and even more happy that they have elected to keep in contact with us since. It was a fun time for everyone involved, and a great way to kick off their lives together.
